Resize GenyMotion internal storage space [QEMU]

For Non-QEMU users, refer to this reddit thread.

For QEMU users, reddit thread won't work as internal disk is managed by QCOW2 (QEMU Copy-On-Write) files instead of VMDK.

Guide last working on 28-08-2024, Arch Linux.

Prerequitise

  • Assume genymotion application is contained at ~/genymotion.

Installation Guide for Mullvad VPN, OpenSUSE

How to rebuild Mullvad VPN for openSUSE Tumbleweed & Leap

Credits to a Reddit Thread.
This guide is 90% similar but with few more instructions to be beginner friendly...

Mullvad VPN comes with a Fedora RPM package. However, there might be dependencies issues when using it directly on OpenSUSE.
Hence, a good solution is to rebuild the RPM package for OpenSUSE.

1) Downloading the original RPM

  1. Open a Terminal/Console. (If you like a cleaner workspace, make a new directory, and cd into it)
  2. On the Mullvad VPN's website, find the current version of the linux package. It should be stated as something similar to "Latest version: 2024.2"

[GenyMotion] Increase internal Storage Space

TLDR;

Increase the storage space of android_data_disk.vmdk.

Increasing Internal Space

GenyMotion gives all Android Phones ~13GB of storage space by default, first, increase the storage size of android_data_disk.vmdk...

For this entire guide, I will be increasing the storage space to 64GB, so you will have to adjust some values to your needs.
