Game Time DTR

DTR Memo

Project: GameTime

Group Member Names: Pol, Sam, Eduardo

Goals and Expectations for the Project (What does each group member hope to get out of this project? What do we want to achieve as a team? How will we know that we're successful?):

  • Sam: jQuery, prototype methods, SASS
  • Eduardo: jQuery, new testing chai spies
  • Pol: new testing chai spies, SASS

Fetch will be a big hurdle for all of us. We want an actual game that works and a solid original design. First time we will have to present a project, so time to refine presentation.

Team strengths & collaboration styles (consider discussing your Pairin qualities here):

  • Sam: manipulating data
  • Eduardo: debugging
  • Pol: debugging

We all like to pair.

How we can use our strengths to overcome obstacles:

Big problems together. Always start out together and split off as necessary. First PR should be done together.

Schedule Expectations (When are we available to work together and individually? What constraints do we have?):

  • Sam: Leave early the 6th back on 8th.
  • Eduardo: no time constraints
  • Pol: First sunday of project can't come in

Communication Expectations (How and often will we communicate? How do we keep lines of communication open? How will we make decisions as a team?):

Consistent slack communication, in person, PR. Consistent retros end of everyday.

Abilities & Growth Expectations (Technical strengths and areas for desired improvement):

Look at goals in DTR. We all want to improve in chai spies and would like to improve GitHub workflow.

Workflow Expectations (Git workflow/Tools/Code Review/Reviewing Pull Requests/Debugging and Problem-solving Techniques):

Smooth clean commits, commit often. PRs should be one concept. Work in branches and don't merge own PR.

Expectations for giving and receiving feedback:

Complete honestly, constructive feedback, always come from a place of respect.

Project management tools we will use (GitHub projects or Trello are popular tools):

Slack, Trello, GitHub

Day 1 Agenda:

Create theme and explore boiler plate repo

Additional Notes:

Set goals at the beginning of the day
