| Do a very loose still life of your desk. Any pen or pencil, etc on scrap paper. Pin to wall. | |
| Meditate for 5 minutes easy. | |
| Take a walk. Collect something. Bring it back to the studio. | |
| Take a photo walk, at least 5 photos, then arrange on a page/screen. | |
| Take one black and white photo. | |
| Go visit a tree. Hug or talk to it. Take notes. | |
| Sing or hum a wordless song that you make up. Enjoy it. | |
| Listen to a recording of a string instrument like a Cello or Viola for several minutes. | |
| Close your eyes and think of a past rainstorm - sound, taste. Name it. | |
| What color is the season? Take a short walk and look for items of that color. | |
| Stretch for a few minutes, slowly and enjoy it. | |
| Think about someone you love. Think about them thinking about you. | |
| Watch a skate or sport video with the sound off. | |
| Write down an idea for a Werner Herzog style documentary or movie. | |
| Make an acrostic poem or haiku like you did as a kid. Use some words from a book. | |
| Sit near a window and admire the sun or what is outside. If it's night, imagine. | |
| Make a little list of books that would be found in your ideal 'little free library' | |
| Sketch tiny concert or exhibition poster with your dream artist lineup. | |
| Make a flower arrangement, or arrangement of books, dirt pile, dishes, etc. Take a photo when done. | |
| Tape a flyer, photo, junk, ephemera or anything at all to the wall. | |
| Move your body for a few minutes. You can stretch or walk. | |
| Do a short sound meditation, listening to the sounds inside and outside of the room for 2 minutes. | |
| Do a walk meditation, following wherever your feet happen to go for 5 minutes. | |
| Trace your hand in your notebook or on a scrap paper. You can tape it up or hide it. | |
| Make a cheap bookmark. Toilet paper, a flyer, sticker, anything. | |
| Think about something you are good at. If you can't think of something, name something you have fun doing. Write about it. | |

| Take a series of black and white photos with a camera in your room. | |
| Just stretch for a couple minutes. Write what you are afraid of and what you want to do. | |
| Make some tea. Drink it while reading. Write what you read. | |
| Write a trip you want to take in 6 months. |
