Disable Liquid glass and revert ui elements on iOS 26.1 and below

Disable liquid glass on iOS 26.1 and below via feature flags

This is a very last minute guide so if you have problems message me on discord @klutzyt
But also note that I am not a dev, I basically used other peoples premade tools and knowledge to do this.
this also can work on 26.2 DEV BETA 1 but i left it out of everything to reduce confusion

What is this

This guide is dedicated to post I made on twitter a little while back Here

WARNING

I nor any developer of the tools required, are responsible for bricked devices, lost data, or any other issues that can happen. Please be responsible and back up your data in any way, Whether thats a iCloud backup or a local iTunes/Finder backup.

Warning Part 2

This is obvious by the photos on twitter, but a bunch of ui elements are broken/really hard to use, here are some bugs with this that i havent been able to solve

  • Control Center is all white and icons blend into the background
  • Dock, App Library etc. are either a solid white (light mode) or solid black (dark mode)
  • Sliders meant for iOS 26 become buggy and hard to use
  • Camera app remains the new ui
  • Certain elements of iOS 26 revert to a merge of iOS 18 and 26 (ex lockscreen clock size animations etc)

If any of these issues are a problem to you, please do not do this, there is a way to revert changes but due to the experimental sense of this, it wont be provided by me.

Requirements

Starting

  1. Ensure you have the requirements downloaded
  2. cd into the unzipped folder for bl_sbx cd bl_sbx
  3. Install required dependencies for bl_sbx (python required) (Leave the terminal open, we'll need it later)
pip3 install click requests packaging pymobiledevice3
  4. Start Nugget (Not recommented to use v7 for now)
  5. Restore the downloaded .batter file (find my has to be off, you can turn it back on after your done)(Go to templates > Import .batter > Select the one you downloaded > Go to Apply and click Apply)(Wait until your device finishes restarting to move to the next step)
  6. Open the terminal for bl_sbx back up and have a finder window to drag the global.plist into the terminal
  7. Enter sudo python3 run.py /Drag/the/global.plist/here /private/var/preferences/FeatureFlags/Global.plist
  8. It will open the books app for you and ask you to download a book, just do a free one, it just needs to do that to get a uuid for the app, you can delete it later
  9. It will respring the phone when its done, you will need to manually reboot your phone for the changes to apply
  10. Hopefully done, you should now have the closest thing to the iOS 18 UI

Note

Step 8 will likely take multiple tries, if it gets stuck, press CTRL and C a few times to stop the command, then re-run the command
You may also need to un-plug and re-plug your phone to get it to work, worst case scenario, reboot your computer and your device
