| CARAMEL DRIZZLE + APPLE PIE SPICE POPCORN | |
| Serves 4–6 | |
| INGREDIENTS | |
| 1/2 cup popcorn kernels (or about 12 cups popped popcorn) | |
| 4 tbsp unsalted butter | |
| 1/2 cup brown sugar (light or dark) | |
| 2 tbsp maple syrup or corn syrup | |
| 2 tbsp heavy cream | |
| 1/2 tsp vanilla extract | |
| 1–1½ tsp apple pie spice | |
| 1/2 tsp fine salt (plus more to taste) | |
| Optional: | |
| Flaky sea salt for finishing | |
| Chopped toasted pecans | |
| INSTRUCTIONS | |
| Pop the popcorn and remove any unpopped kernels. Place in a very large mixing bowl. | |
| In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. | |
| Stir in the brown sugar and maple (or corn) syrup. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring regularly. | |
| Stir in the heavy cream and simmer for 1 more minute. | |
| Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and apple pie spice. | |
| Slowly drizzle the caramel over the popcorn while tossing continuously to coat evenly. | |
| Spread onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool for 10–15 minutes to set slightly. | |
| Finish with flaky sea salt if desired. Serve and enjoy. |
