Feedback Conversation Reflection Guidelines Date of feedback conversation: 9/16/18
-
How did you prepare for the conversation?
I just took a quick look at our game, played it a little bit. I felt proud when we were working on it.
-
How did the conversation go for you? What was easy about the conversation? What was more difficult? I really had no trouble with my dude. He's a great guy, and I had an easy time partnering up with him. I'd
say the most difficult part of it was me asking for help with the graphics of the game. He's a great graphics
guy and I have a lot to learn. -
What principles of feedback did you use in the conversation? I mostly stuck with constructive and coaching. I told my partner about a couple of tips here and there, and I
also mentioned that they should look at code as a specific and short rather than long and complex. -
What is your biggest challenge when giving feedback to someone else? How do you want to overcome that challenge?
My biggest challenge is actually giving feedback. Who knows if the person even wants to recieve feedback from me. If people ask me for help I'd be happy to help, but otherwise I'd rather not get involved. I hope to overcome
this challenge by being a ble to read the situation better and act based on what's called for. -
How would you describe your ability to communicate feedback? How has this experience affected your communication skills?
My ability to give feedback is on par. I don't think I'm great but I try my best and I am always happy to try to
explain a concept in many different ways for someone to understand. Like every conversation I have, I take new things
from conversing with others and talking to my partner is definitely a great experience to learn from.
