Gnome configuration

Three apps: Gnome Tweaks, Extension Manager and Mission Center installed using Software app.

Gnome Tweaks configuration

Installed Gnome Tweaks in Software app.

  • Enabled Maximise & Minimise window buttons.

Extension: Dash to Panel configuration

To move the top bar to the bottom task bar, like Windows.

  • hide applications button
  • app icon margin 4px (default 8px)
  • app icon padding 8px (default 4px)
  • behaviour: "ungroup applications" enabled to get full window titles
  • behaviour/ungroup: "use a fixed width for application titles" disabled

Extension: ArcMenu

To get a Windows-like start menu.

  • hotkey disabled

Extension: AppIndicator and KStatusNotifierItem Support

To get tray icons like in the Windows task bar.

Extension: Clipboard History

To get Windows-like clipboard history.

Custom shortcuts

  • Super + E runs nautilus (Files app)
  • Ctrl + Shift + Escape runs flatpak run io.missioncenter.MissionCenter (Windows-like task manager)
