Mikrotik config example

Example Mikrotik configuration

  • create select WAN interface ex ether1
  • create bridge
  • ex. LAN ip 192.168.88.1, WAN dhcp client, Lan ether2,ether3,ether4

Plug WAN to ether1

Add ip adddress to bridge interface

  • IP > Address > New > address = 192.168.88.1/24, network = 192.168.88.0/24, interface = bridge

Add port to bridge

  • Bridge > Ports > New > select interface to Bridge ex. ether2, ether3, ether4

Create DHCP Server for LAN

  • IP > DHCP Server > DHCP Setup >
DHCP Server Interface = bridge
DHCP Address space = 192.168.88.0/24
Gateway for DHCP Network = 192.168.88.1
Addresses to Give out = 192.168.88.2-192.168.88.254

Add NAT routing

  • IP > Firewall > NAT > New > NAT Rules > General
chain = srcnat
Out.Interface = WAN
  • NAT Rules > Action > masquerade

Set DNS

  • IP > DNS > Allow Remote Requests

Setup Wireless

  • Interface > wlan1 (2.4ghz)
  • Interface > wlan2 (5ghz)
  • Wireless > Security Profiles > New > WPA2 PSK > WPA2 Pre-Shared Key ex. 112233445566
  • Interface > wlan1 or wlan2 > Wireless > More ap bridge , Security Profile (security profile name) , SSID = example_wifi_5ghz
