Night Sight collects precise location data to provide you with accurate weather forecasts for stargazing and astrophotography. This includes:
- GPS coordinates - Used to determine your current location and provide localized weather conditions
- Saved locations - Stored locally on your device if you choose to save specific locations (Pro feature)
How we use it:
- Retrieve weather data specific to your location
- Display location names in the app
- Provide accurate astronomical event times (sunset, twilight, moon phases)
Important: Location data is transmitted to Apple WeatherKit to retrieve weather information. We do not store your location data on our servers.
If you subscribe to Night Sight Pro, we collect and process:
- Subscription status - Active, expired, or cancelled
- Purchase history - Transaction records
- Anonymous customer ID - A unique identifier (not linked to your personal identity)
This information is collected and managed by RevenueCat, our third-party subscription management service.
We automatically collect certain device information:

- App version - Which version of Night Sight you're using
