Odido Fiber : TP-Link Deco As Main Router

Odido Fiber : TP-Link Deco As Main Router

I recently changed my default router from Odido with a TP-Link Deco router.

I required specific settings for the router to work, documenting it here and the reference for the future and others.

Note: I only have a internet connection with them and no IPTV.

Overview

Fiber -> Media Converter -> Ethernet -> TP-Link Deco Router

Configuration Required

After setting up the Deco router, connect to it so you can change the following for the internet connection to work:

  • Open the Deco app
  • Select the More section
  • Select the Advanced feature under the section
  • Select IPTV/VLAN
    • Enable this option
    • Choose Custom for the ISP Profile
    • Enable Internet VLAN
    • Enter 300 in Internet VLAN ID
    • Enter 0 in Internet VLAN Priority
    • Enable 802.1Q Tag
  • Restart Router, internet connection should be active after this.
