Browser Media Center is committed to protecting your privacy. This extension does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information or usage data.
We do not collect any data.
Browser Media Center does not:
- Track your browsing history
- Monitor which streaming services you use
- Collect any personal information
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Send any data to external servers
- Store any information on remote servers
The extension uses Chrome's local storage API solely to save your preferences on your device. This includes:
- Cursor Size Setting: Your preferred cursor size (32-128 pixels)
- Zoom Levels: Custom zoom settings for each streaming service (100-400%)
- Enabled Services: Which streaming services you've chosen to display
- Background Settings: Whether backgrounds are enabled and your custom background image (if uploaded)
- Extension State: Whether the extension is currently enabled or disabled
- Page Title: Your custom title for the media center page
All of this data:
- Remains on your local device only
- Is never transmitted anywhere
- Is not accessible to us or any third parties
- Can be cleared by removing the extension
Required to save your settings locally on your device using Chrome's storage API.
Required to:
- Apply native browser zoom levels to streaming service tabs
- Navigate tabs when using home shortcuts to return to the media center
This permission does not:
- Access tab content or webpage data
- Track your browsing history
- Monitor which sites you visit
- Collect any personal information
Required to apply your preferred cursor size and zoom level when you visit streaming services. These permissions:
- Only apply customizations you've configured
- Do not read, collect, or transmit any data from these sites
- Do not track your viewing habits
- Do not access your account information
Browser Media Center does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks.
When background images are enabled:
- Random images are loaded from Lorem Picsum (a free image service)
- No tracking or data collection occurs from this service
- You can disable this feature at any time
- Custom uploaded backgrounds stay entirely on your device
Any changes to this privacy policy will be reflected in this document and in the extension listing. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
To delete all data stored by Browser Media Center:
- Right-click the extension icon
- Select "Remove from Chrome"
- Confirm removal
This will permanently delete all locally stored settings.
