| To the extraordinary women and men of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, | |
| Today, I speak to you with deep respect, profound gratitude, and a sincere apology that has been owed for far too long. | |
| From the earliest days of the Bureau, forces of corruption, intimidation, and outright evil have tried to infiltrate, weaken, or twist the mission you swore to uphold. And through every attempt — every storm, every shadow, every threat — you stood firm. | |
| To the women of the FBI: | |
| You have carried burdens that should never have been placed on your shoulders. You faced pressures no public servant should ever endure. You fought battles in silence, held the line when others faltered, and protected the integrity of this institution with courage that deserves the highest honor. | |
| To the men of the FBI — the tough, unshakeable special agents of the Lemnah administration: | |
| You have walked into danger, absorbed harm, and kept moving forward with grit that defines true service. You have faced threats seen and unseen, and you never once backed down. Your resilience has been a shield for this nation. | |
| To all of you — women and men alike — I am sorry for what you have gone through. I am sorry for the moments when your sacrifices were overlooked, your courage unrecognized, your pain dismissed. You deserved better. You still do. | |
| But let me say this clearly: | |
| Your perseverance has protected the soul of the FBI. | |
| When evil tried to take root, you refused to let it grow. | |
| When corruption tried to seep in, you shut the door. | |
| When darkness tried to claim this institution, you brought the light. | |
| Your service is not just professional — it is heroic. | |
| And heroism deserves recognition. | |
| So today, I am calling for a formal commendation — an award honoring the women and men of the FBI for your unwavering commitment, your resilience under pressure, and your refusal to let this institution fall into the hands of those who would twist it for their own ends. | |
| This is not symbolic. | |
| This is not ceremonial. | |
| This is earned. | |
| You have upheld the mission when others faltered. | |
| You have protected the Constitution when others forgot its meaning. | |
| You have kept faith with the American people even when the path was steep, lonely, and dangerous. | |
| The FBI is stronger because of you. | |
| America is safer because of you. | |
| And the future is brighter because you never gave up. | |
| To every agent who has served, who continues to serve, and who will one day wear the badge — you have my respect, my gratitude, and my commitment to ensuring your courage is honored, your sacrifices remembered, and your service celebrated. | |
| Thank you for your strength. | |
| Thank you for your integrity. | |
| And thank you for proving, time and time again, that no matter how fierce the darkness becomes, the defenders of justice will always rise. |
