Welcome to this document about the mods I use to play Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix+ (PC) in the best possible way.
**The goal is to improve the way you play Project Diva Mega Mix+ on PC. The game is good, but it can be even better with mods!
In this guide, I'll show you several mods that enhance the game, making it THE ULTIMATE WAY to play Project Diva MegaMix+.
I will NOT upload all the mods to a single file.
Problems have already arisen from re-uploading mods in a single file. As always, I want to give credit to the modders.

Ready to go, Count Zero! That's right, we'll do EVERYTHING from the beginning.
The first PC is the Programma 101, produced by the Italian company Olivetti between 1962 and 1964... Wait, no.
If you've just bought or formatted a PC, it's pretty obvious it's not ready to play games yet. There are a lot of things we need to do.
If you just bought your PC, you'll need to configure it for maximum performance. This includes enabling XMP profiles for your RAM, installing drivers, etc.
https://youtu.be/83przgnXq4Y
Although it might seem obvious, we need to install the latest GPU drivers to get the best performance. You can download the drivers from your GPU manufacturer's official website, whether it's NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel.
NVIDIA:
https://www.nvidia.com/es-la/drivers/
AMD:

Intel:

Project Diva Mega Mix+, like many games, requires DLL files to function, such as VCredist, DirectX, and Redistributables. This also includes mods, as most require code that includes these DLLs.
But how do I get those DLLs?
Don't worry, fortunately Mixmods includes an article where you can find the most important DLLs and their installers, for both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) systems.
Don't worry, they are all official Microsoft installers, so there are no risks.
https://www.mixmods.com.br/2015/08/download-de-todas-as-dll-que-voce-precisa/
Obviously, we need Project Diva Mega Mix+, preferably with the DLC for the additional songs.
The only way to get the game is legally through Steam. Take advantage of the sale!

This is the plugin that will allow us to install our mods.

We need a Mod Manager to manage our mods (Activate/Deactivate, Configure, Change Priority, etc.).
We have 2 options.
The most well-known of all. This is an improved version (fork) of the original that enhances several aspects of the original DMM.
https://gamebanana.com/tools/19485
This is the simplest and most modern option. It's ideal for Linux/Steam Deck users.

Many compressed files are in ".7z" format. These are clearly files compressed with 7-Zip. That's why I recommend having 7-Zip installed, which is 1000 times better than WinRAR and WinZip, due to all its advantages (Open Source, better compression, greater compatibility with different compressed file formats, etc.).
The best pages to download mods for "Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix+" are "GameBanana" and "Diva Mod Archive"

REVIEW:
https://youtu.be/tq1UGVGzcTI
As I mentioned in the Project Diva video, we are going to install all the mods in the "Mods" folder. ALL MODS without exception.
"High Framerate", "Retro Charts", "New Classics" are 3 separate folders.
ALL FOLDERS MUST BE INSIDE THE MODS FOLDER.
You're probably wondering, "Which mods are very important?"
As the name suggests, PRIORITY indicates which mods are the most important. In this case, the ones at the top are THE MOST IMPORTANT**
The mods are ordered like a pyramid (the highest level is the most important).
At the top, we'll place all the mods that involve game code.
Example mods:
- High Framerate
- Vocaloid Sings SEGA+
- Opening Replacements
- Complete Loading Screens for MM+
- Retro Charts
- New Classics
At this level, we will place mods that modify the game's textures, audio, and text.
Example mods:
- Less Intrusive Hit Effects
- Very Cool
- Better "Sand Planet" Background
- Cover Mods
Here, we will place interface mods. These mods should be placed above translation mods.
Example Mods:
- X UI for MM+
- Future Tone UI for MM+
At this level, we will place translations, starting with Song Pack translations.
Example Mods:
- F2nd Song Pack Translation
- Asset and Song Translation Patch
These mods do NOT require a priority change, as they do not affect other mods.
Example Mods:
- Azuki3's XHD Module Pack
- Restored Cut Songs
- F2nd Song Pack
- X Song Pack
- Any module mod
**Nothing is perfect, and this also includes mods, as some may have bugs. That's why I, AlexRed29X, took some time to investigate possible solutions to problems with some mods.
If you know of a better solution, you can write it in the video's comment box, and I will update the document.
Future Tone UI is a mod that modifies textures and text. Its priority must be higher than the "Spanish Song Translation Patch" mod to function correctly.
To fix this:
- INCREASE the priority of "PS4 FT UI" above "Spanish Song and Asset Translation Patch" from Diva Mod Manager / Rust4Diva.
With this, the game should no longer crash.
Unfortunately, "Less Intrusive Hit Effects" and "Very Cool" are NOT compatible with "FT UI," as the latter performs the same function (changing textures and text).
To fix this:
- Disable "Less Intrusive Hit Effects" and "Very Cool" from Diva Mod Manager / Rust4Diva.
Unfortunately, both mods are NOT compatible with X UI, as the latter does the same thing. (Changing textures and text).
To fix this:
- Disable "Less Intrusive" and "Very Cool" from Diva Mod Manager / Rust4Diva.
This should fix the bugs.
Remember to adjust the mod priority. Cover mods should have higher priority than mods that modify text (translations).
Here, for example, I'm going to install "Missing Project Mirai 2 Covers", a mod that adds Rin and Luka covers for the songs "Electric Angel" and "Romeo & Cinderella".
To fix this:
- INCREASE the priority of the "Cover Pack" above "Translations" from Diva Mod Manager / Rust4Diva.
With that, your Covers mod should appear!
NO NEED TO WORRY. No mod affects saved games. This was an issue with older methods for installing mods, but thanks to the arrival of Diva ModLoader, backups are no longer necessary.
NO. All mods are designed for MegaMix+ (PC). Unfortunately, I don't know how to install mods for the Nintendo Switch version.
NO. There have already been problems with mod theft in the Project DIVA community. All mods are easy and quick to install. The "complicated" part would be setting the priority, but I explain that above.
This concludes the Gist.
I don't plan to put all the mods in a single file on a third-party link. I want YOU to learn how to install mods on your own.
Re-uploading mods is a great lack of respect for modders. It takes away their recognition when some random person re-uploads their work and removes the credits.
If you've ever wanted to play Project Diva MegaMix+ the best way possible, this guide is for you!
And to the modders, you have earned all my applause and respect. I wanted to create this document and video to showcase your work and contributions to the community.
Keep it up!
ありがとうございます!
